The Persistence of Chaos: A Laptop Filled With Six Of The World's Most Dangerous Viruses.
Generally when you hear the hefty price associated with a gadget you think of high end top of the line specifications and some exclusive features from the company especially made, to justify the price tag. But what about a decade old Samsung laptop that comes with Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM that's further expandable to upto 2GB. Well that's sort of surprising and weird too, because what makes this laptop $1 million expensive is what it comes with. It holds the world's 6 deadliest viruses that has power to wipe off more than $90 billion if gone in wrong hands or used carelessly. However it's not gonna do thing on its own unless your connect any USB with it or connects it to your Wifi.
Created by internet artist Guo O Dong, this deadly piece of art is named as "The Persistence of Chaos". “We have this fantasy that things that happen in computers can’t actually affect us, but this is absurd,” says Guo. “Weaponized viruses that affect power grids or public infrastructure can cause direct harm.”
The six viruses include; 1. ILOVEYOU Virus, 2. WannaCry Ransomware, 3.MyDoom, 4. SoBig, 5. Dark Tequila, 6. Black Energy. The WannaCry itself is so dangerous that it costs UK government more than $100 million in damages and is generally believed that was created by the North Korea.
