Update Chrome Now! Or Regret Later.
Google has released a zero day vulnerability patch for its popular web browser Chrome. Google has advised the users to update their chrome web browser(Windows, Mac, Linux,) to 72.0.3626.121 version immediately to protect it's user from a major security flaw. Google has also made clear that the recent patch released on 1st March was actually a fix for this zero day attack.
However the details of the attack are still not known and Google is likely to release the details sometimes later when it'll make sure that the intended update has been out for a while and users have updated. Google has also released a statement that states "We will retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend upon, but haven't fixed yet".
While the details are kept secret it's been speculated that the bug os related with the Chrome Filereader API and if exploited it would allow the attacker to run malicious code in the background.
Till next time stay safe, stay updated and stay connected.
