Google Maps Now Will Automatically Delete Users Location History*
Tech giants like Google and Facebook are already facing a lot of heat because of privacy breach and tracking their users even if they opt out of it. But it seems like Google is learning a lesson from its mistakes and making it easier for the user to not let the app track unwantedly. If the announcements from the CES 2019 is to be considered then Google will soon add a feature in its Maps app that will automatically delete the user location. Google made a lots of announcements in CES 2019 and it looks like they are gradually making its way to the final app builds.
According to the apk files acquired by the 9to5Google, Google maps will soon start deleting the location history for its users. However this can be done right now manually by selecting "Delete all location history" under security and privacy under the personal content section under the settings menu.
It's still unclear if this is just a hoax or Google will finally add this feature to the maps app, because tech giants make a lots of money by tracking their users and selling the data to the marketers.
